Understanding the Problem
Managing a large, asset-heavy portfolio was difficult for the business, with no streamlined system for updates or organization. The site had virtually no SEO presence beyond blog content, and the brand failed to clearly differentiate the business from competitors in a crowded market.

How We Solved It
Implemented a modern headless CMS (Sanity.io) to manage blog content and portfolio assets efficiently. Integrated comprehensive local SEO across every page, achieving a Lighthouse SEO score of 100. Built out custom, location-specific wedding agency pages for key San Diego areas and developed a vendor directory that generates high-quality local backlinks from trusted partners the business regularly works with.
How We Got There
Discovery
We conducted a comprehensive analysis of local San Diego wedding planner websites to understand the competitive landscape. The client then identified their preferred design elements, and we aligned on a site mockup, a high-level GoDaddy migration plan, and the estimated number of pages.
Design
Using Dribbble and competitor websites as references, we aligned on the final UX for the site. We then created mockups and shared them with the client for approval.
Development
All pages were created in a timely manner using NextJS, React, TailwindCSS, React Email, Resend, Shadcn, Radix UI, Sanity, Cloudinary, and Framer.
Launch
Hosting transfer to Vercel from GoDaddy
Post-Launch
Weekly updates to address notification in Google Search Console, SEO, and content updates from the business.
